Steel Mill Sundays

This past weekend we made the hike once again across the Pennsylvania Turnpike for weekend in Pittsburgh of Punx Picnic, Rope Swings, all you can eat vegan Buffet at Zenith's and of course washing down the buffet with a trip to the old abandoned Steel Mill.

Rush Hour on the Delaware

For Noel's Birthday, a small group of us went tubing down the Delaware River. However, do not be mistaken by the photographs depicting an intimate gathering of friends floating down the river. It was a hot and sunny Saturday with literally thousands of people who had the same idea as us.

Shameless Self Promotion

So, without rehashing bike snobbery, let's look at the positives! My picture made it on the UrbanVelo website!

Uncommonly Made. Uncommonly Good

We changed our lighting this week at work, and I have to say I like it a lot.
I also like that Emily looks like a Keebler Cookie Elf in this 70's dress.

It's true. UO is coming out with a brand of track bikes called Republic. Bringing hipster to an all new level. Don't they know they missed the boat on this one? Road bikes are cool again kids..

Feeling the Burn

Since moving to Philly, going to the race every year has turned into one of my favorite annual events.  It's what starts Philly Summer.

I Heart Ponies

Friday evening, I went to the Devon Horse Championships with Blakslee.  Unfortunately it got rained out and we missed the Gambler's Choice Jumping.  So, instead we caught the gaited horse show, which  was a little odd, and not really my thing.  In fact, what I love most about horses and riding is the informal, wild act.  Not the strict environment of rules, regulations, and rich people.  It kind of brought it back why I stopped paying attention to this kind of thing.  But it was still fun nonetheless to do something different with my Friday night.

Southbound

Last Friday I played hooky from work to catch a Philly Southbound to Baltimore for Deathfest. It was good to hit the rails again with my favorite lady friends, if even for a few short hours.
Not a single one of us was under the age of 25.  Senior Citizens, oh what?

St. Johns Island

In March, Chris and I went to go visit his sister on St. John's Island in the US Virgin Islands.
I busted out my Diana toy Camera to give it a few test shots.
